Meditation

Abrov all there is teh dense yellow light of a winter sun shining outside. Sun dazzles the eyes, but does not warm. Then we discover the existence of this old man sitting still. He turned his face from his desk and from the book he was reading; Perhaps to think, to relax, or to meditate. Our gaze slides to the right to notice the lowered door  of the vault, which is later attracted by the spiral staircase. The moment she prepares to climb the first steps, she discovers the fire that cracks in the stove and the woman who ignites the embers. Then it  returns and continues climbing the stairs that only lead to darkness. "A Philosopher in Contemplation” (1632) by Rembrandt (1606–1669),an oil painting on wood, dimensions 0.28 x 0.34 meters, Louvre Museum, Paris.
